Amber Electric electricity plans

Amber Electric publishes 178 residential electricity plans in Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. The figures below are the best it publishes in each category, taken from those plans. Rebuilt 2026-10-18.

Cheapest daily supply charge

The fixed daily amount, before any electricity is used.

$0.4964/day — Amber Plan

Cheapest flat rate

A single rate at any hour, for households without a time-of-use meter.

10.38c/kWh — Battery + Solar: Variable Wholesale Prices (estimate)

Highest peak rate

Appearing here is not evidence of a bad deal: a high peak rate is often offset on the same plan by a very cheap off-peak window, a strong feed-in rate or a low supply charge.

58.84c/kWh — Standing Offer: Solar Sharer Offer

Cheapest off-peak rate

The overnight or daytime window on a time-of-use plan.

6.98c/kWh — Standing Offer: TOU

Highest solar feed-in rate

A headline feed-in rate usually applies only inside a window or up to a daily cap — the note beside the plan says which.

10.86c/kWh — Battery + Solar: Variable Wholesale Prices (estimate)

Supply charges and usage rates include GST. Solar feed-in rates are shown as published, with no GST added.

Distribution networks

Amber Electric publishes plans for addresses on these networks. Your network is set by your address.

AusNet Services (electricity) · Ausgrid · Citipower · Endeavour · Energex · Essential Energy · Evoenergy · Jemena · Powercor · SA Power Networks · United Energy

These are component statistics, not a verdict on the retailer. A low supply charge or a high feed-in rate does not make a plan cheap overall — retailers balance one against the other, and each figure may come from a different plan. Which plan is cheapest depends on when a household uses power.
